The Heart Behind The Tribe: Meet Rosario

Welcome!  I'm so happy you're here.

I’m Rosario Tate, founder of The Healing Tribe.

I serve a global community from my home in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
My work is rooted in a simple but profound understanding:

Healing is not something that is done to you.

It is the practice of reclaiming your own wholeness.

The Medicine I Share

For over twenty years, I have walked with people through moments of physical pain, transition, confusion, awakening, grief, longing, and self-discovery.

Again and again, I have seen that beneath the patterns that keep us stuck, beneath the fear, beneath inherited beliefs and protective responses, there is still wisdom.

There is still life.
There is still consciousness.
There is still medicine.

My role is not to take your power away from you by becoming the one who knows what is best for you.

My role is to listen deeply, perceive what may be asking for attention, offer tools and perspective, and walk beside you as you reconnect with the wisdom already living within you.

Rosario's lineage is rooted in her traditional amazonian paternal side.

I didn't know it then, but this mountain would become the first teacher on a journey that continues to unfold today...

The path of healing. From darkness to wholeness.

I did not come to this work because I had life figured out.
But because life brought me to places where the old ways of surviving no longer worked.

There have been moments in my life when I have known physical, emotional and mental pain deeply.

I know what it is to feel alone inside pain.

I know what it is to wonder whether life will ever feel spacious, safe, or meaningful again. I know what it is to stand close to that edge and still recognize, somewhere within me, there was a different life for me waiting to be chosen.

That choice did not make everything disappear. It did not turn healing into a straight line.

But it began a path of surrender, remembrance, study, integration, and rebuilding.

Over time, through body awareness, ancestral exploration, and years of learning from mentors, clients, motherhood, and lived experience, I learned to listen more deeply to the higher knowledge within me.

I understood that suffering is real, but it is not the whole truth of who we are.

I understand.
Not because I have all the answers, but
because I know what it is to walk through the dark

and begin to see from a new place.

How My Path Began

The Places
That Shaped Me

The person I am right now has been shaped by my teachers, landscapes, traditions, and moments of deep surrender.

From my roots in the Amazon and the Andes of my homeland, Peru, to the Himalayas of Nepal and the sacred learning spaces of India, each place left an imprint.

These journeys were not simply travels. They became part of my initiation into listening, discipline, ancestral memory, and the deeper intelligence of life.

Some places taught me stillness.
Some taught me humility.
Some taught me trust.
And some reminded me that joy, beauty, and aliveness are also part of the medicine.

Kuelap Fortress, Peru...where my ancestors remind me that they still walk beside me.

Annapurna peak, Nepal...where I first realized that everything around me is listening.

Wherever I have gone, I have sought teachers and systems with depth, integrity, and transformational power.

The credentials matter, but what matters most to me is how these teachings changed the way I listen, perceive, serve, and live

The BodyTalk™ system was my first contact with Consciousness Medicine and has been one of the major pillars in my development. My studies have extended from its foundational principles into advanced areas including consciousness principles, bio-dynamics, the macrocosmic bodymind and matrix dynamics, with ongoing learning inspired by teachers such as Dr. John Veltheim and Dr. Tracey Clark.

Body Intuitive, through the work of Dr. Laura Stuve and  Dr. Janet Galipo, gave me tools to integrate molecular biology and epigenetics with principles of Classical Chinese Medicine to identify underlying emotional and environmental stressors behind health conditions.

My work has also been influenced by Ayurvedic branches like Panchakarma, somatic and nervous system awareness, homeopathy, and years of direct practice with clients.

My search for clarity took me across different cultures and traditions. I have been initiated in shamanic practices through Peruvian and North American lineages, including the work with Don Oscar Miró-Quesada, Sandra Ingerman, and Christa Lynn.

My Reiki Master training began in India with Guru Swami Shukla, an experience that encouraged me to start teaching about energy work and spiritual practice.

Before entering the healing arts, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Engineering, followed by a Master’s degree in Marketing and Social Impact.

That background gave a solid science foundation and trained me to look for patterns, systems, structure, communication, and meaningful change, skills that continue to help the way I understand healing, consciousness, and human transformation today.

Mentors & Training

My work has been shaped by nearly two decades of study, practice, lived experience, and respect for the teachers and traditions that have helped transform my heart and mind.

The Shaman In The Mirror

An important part of who I am includes subtle ways of perceiving that I did not choose in a conventional sense. I have long been aware to what lives beyond the physical five senses.

Over time, I became open to a deeper relationship with intuition, subtle perception, trance states, ancestral memory, and spiritual guidance.

These experiences led me to explore the shamanic roots present in my lineages, as well as the medicine, wisdom, and capacities carried by those who came before me.

For many years, I embraced the identity of the shaman. Others used that word for me too, especially as people came to my work and experienced meaningful shifts.
But over time, my relationship with that identity changed.

Today, I continue to proudly honor my shamanic roots, but I no longer place that identity at the center of my work.

I do not want to stand in front of someone as “the healer” or “the shaman” who heals them.
If anything, I see myself as a mirror, a reflection that helps another person remember the medicine, wisdom, and divine guidance already alive within them.

The real healer is not my title.
The real healer is the deeper intelligence within each of us: the inner teacher, the sacred knowing, the consciousness that remembers who we are beneath fear, conditioning, and pain.

My work is to listen, perceive, hold space, ask, witness, and work with the tools I have been given and trained in — without taking authority away from the person sitting in front of me.

The Healing Tribe

It all started with the intention to create a space where people could feel they belonged.

Relatively new to Canada, I had just settled in Port Moody, B.C. with my husband and daughter and I started offering Energy Healing sessions, Reiki classes and  Shamanic ceremonies in 2017.

Since then, The Healing Tribe has continued to evolve with me. My work has expanded into workshops, movement experiences, online classes, community gatherings, and offerings designed to help people understand themselves more deeply and become active participants in their own healing.

My vision is not to create a community of people who depend on a practitioner.
My vision is to support people in becoming more connected to themselves, more honest about their patterns, more trusting of their inner wisdom, and more able to participate in the life that is calling them forward.

Because we grow in connection.
We heal in relationship.
We remember ourselves with support.

If my story speaks to you and you'd like to meet me and start exploring,

here are a few ways to begin
